Located in the middle of the Ranchi City, Pahari Mandir is the dedicated Puja Sthal of Lord Shiva. Devotees arrive here from distant places to fulfill their wishes and pray to Lord Shiva. The main temple is situated in the top of the hill (Pahar) from where it gets its name. One has to climb hundreds of stairs to reach the main shrine from where the whole Ranchi city view is possible. The place draws thousands of devotees during Mahashivratri festival.
